I was very sad to learn of the tragic loss of Chris Rowe to the Morgan World. This year Chris celebrated the fact that he had owned a Morgan for twenty-five years and that he had been a member of the Thames Valley Centre(Reading, Grogmog) for the same length of time. All his friends in the Centre will sadly miss him. It was Chris that gave me a lift to the factory to collect my new Morgan all those years ago. At the time Chris asked if Peter Morgan would be willing to hand over the car keys for me. Naturally Peter was pleased to do so – I wouldn’t have had the courage to ask but Chris knew how much that sort of thing means to a Morgan enthusiast. Chris was a truly genuine person and I can’t put into words how much I shall miss him as a friend and a fellow Morgan devotee. At this sad time and on behalf of the Centre I would like to send our sincere condolences to Chris’ wife and family.
