This month’s Centre report will only contain
good news so please read on. Of course this will mean no mention of Terry
Tedman’s transport problems and other such matters.
The first item of good news is that by the time you read this our good friends of the Centre Anne Northfield and Don Fox will have tied the knot. I was very fortunate to be at their wedding in Plymouth over the Easter period. I first met Don when he saved me from being crushed by the oar of a Viking longboat during a race – we have been good friends ever since. On behalf of the Centre I would like to wish you both good health and happiness for the future – congratulations!
The other item of good news is that during this month Tony Hemple and Viv will be getting married. Tony used to be a dedicated rival of mine on the hills and circuits but I of course forgive him. On behalf of the Centre please accept our congratulations and best wishes for the future – hope we will see you both soon.
The last piece of good news is that Pam and Mike Aldrich will be organising our annual Centre at the Rivera Hotel Maidenhead on 29th June. Please contact Pam and Mike if you would like to come.
