I have no doubt that you will wish to join me in wishing Ann Vodden a speedy recovery from her recent illness. Ann needed to spend a few days in hospital but she is now having a well earned rest at home. I hope Ann you will be feeling better soon – we are all thinking about you.

In the list of events below, please note Allan Moore’s Uxbridge Car Show, Allan would like you to contact him if you would like to go so that he can tell the organisers how many to expect, we hope to have a designated area for Morgans.  This has always been a very enjoyable show in the past with all sorts of things going on. I plan to enter my “crack pot” Labrador Bobby in the dog show - only joking Bobby! Maybe Sally would do better.

On the 9th of May we shall be joining OxMog at the Hambleden Sports Car Day meeting. They hold a picnic supported by all the local car clubs. All proceeds go to charity. The Plan is that Ian Sollen will lead a party from the Hampden Arms meeting at 10:30 am and I shall do the same starting from the Bird In Hand. With any luck we should meet up together at the playing fields near the Stag and Huntsman, Hambleden at about the same time! I hope to see you all there.

After my success last month at Pooh Sticks I was interested to note that there is a national championship (just been) held for Pooh Sticks – perhaps I should enter next year!

This month we have a very enjoyable walk around the Turville area.

Turville Walk

Sunday 23rd May 2004

The starting point of this month’s walk is the car park of the Bull and Butcher PH, at Turville.  Turville is about eight miles west of High Wycombe, along the B482 and minor roads via Lane End. The pub has a car park or you can use the small parish parking area between the pub and the church.

The walk is three and half miles in length and takes in three lovely Chiltern villages with fantastic views of surrounding hills, rivers and valleys.

We shall meet at 10:30 am at the Bull and Butcher PH car park and we shall be back in time for lunch to enjoy the fine traditional food at the Bull and Butcher pub.  Those that would just like to meet us at the pub, we should be back about 1’oclock.  I hope to see you there.

Scenic for run Cancer Charities

Sunday 27th June 2004

Entry forms are now available for our scenic run to be held on the 27th June. The tour will take in the delightful Buckinghamshire countryside and will end at a well-known beauty spot for a picnic. All proceeds will go to Cancer charities. Along with the entry form a sponsorship form is included for those of you that feel they can attract sponsors for taking part in the event. All Centres are naturally welcome. Please contact Viv and Tony Hempel or myself for further details – thank you.

Take care & see you all soon
