Firstly, I would like to congratulate Martin and Jane West on their purchase of a rather stunning Aero 8 that they fell in love with while visiting the Festival of Speed back in July. I wish you both many happy miles in your new steed. The Aero 8 count in the Centre continues to notch up. Perhaps we can organise a future noggin so that you can all line up for a photo shoot. The fish bone parking arrangements at the Bird In Hand would possibly make a suitable venue.

If you are not planning to attend our first Sunday noggin next month, you may like to consider joining us with the Brighton Centre, at the venerable London to Brighton Veteran Car Run. We shall meet them at the Jolly Tanners, Staplefield on the B2114 between Handcross and Cuckfield. From our region we plan to meet at Newlands Corner car park just outside Guildford off the A25, for the run down there. This is a great rendezvous point since it has toilets and a café. Not forgetting of course the lovely views across the Surry Hills. We shall meet at Newlands Corner at 07:15 am - the sun should just about be up by then. This rendezvous time is little earlier this year to try and ensure that there will be space for us at Staplefield on our arrival - I hope it isn’t too early for you. Please contact me if you need any directions. I hope to see you there.

This month we shall be returning to our normal tri-centre series of walks, venturing forth to Kent for the first time! See our events page for details.

Lastly, I would like to applaud our very own roving reporter Heidi Miller on her newly acquired Royal Ivory Morgan Plus 4 two seater with an M16 engine, I believe. It is in beautiful condition and is very similar in appearance to Bert Oslar’s Morgan Plus 4 being almost identical models, so much so that they may get mixed up if there should park next to each other. Having “wheels” of course will make Heidi’s job that much easier. I wish you many happy safe miles in your Morgan Heidi – many congratulations! By the way Heidi does your Morgan have a name yet?

Take care & see you all soon
