Morganeers Mad March March (Headley, Surrey) The walk is approximately 5 miles mostly flat although a bit uneven in some places. It starts from The Cock Inn, Church Lane, Headley, Epsom, Surrey KT18 6LE, passes Headley Church and also goes over part of Stane Street which is the Roman road which connected London and Chichester. The pub landlady is very welcoming and happy to accommodate us - there is plenty of parking and a very good menu with home cooked roasts on Sundays. Also outside seating and several real ales! Hambleden (Chilterns, Buckinghamshire) Chris will meet you at Hambleden village car park, Map ref. SU 785 865, at 9:30 am and the walk will start at 10:00 am. The distance is about 5.5 miles and Chris aims for you to be back at 12:30 pm for lunch at the Stag & Huntsman. This is a beautiful part of the country. It is in the middle of the Chilterns so it will be quite hilly in places, but well worth the effort. If you plan to stop for lunch please let Chris know so that he can give the pub some idea of numbers. It should be a lovely walk. Isle of Wight B & B / Scenic runs Sue & Geoff (Giles), Brian & Ann (Miller) have now scoped out the 1st May Bank Holiday weekend rally to be held on the Isle of Wight. They have spent a weekend viewing a number of hotels and places of interest. An excellent hotel has been selected close to Shanklin old village, and a daily schedule mapped out. They have gathered many brochures and maps and so, you may wish to follow your own plans, including walks on which we have more information, which will, be in your weekend packs. The hotel has an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, a beauty therapy and treatment room, men or women can be "treated" (!!!), Brian and Geoff have taken the 10 minutes training course and will be on hand to assist!!. The Hotel also has a small cinema and so we may have a special film to show!! Please confirm your interest with Geoff as soon as you can so that arrangements can be finalised.
