I hope everyone had a very happy and enjoyable Christmas. Things are shaping up nicely for 2010. For example, we have booked, Saturday evening, 15th May for our return with the Marcos club, to the Ace Cafe - a venue that many of our members know well from the days of their misspent youth. Hence, as before this will be a nostalgic trip for many. If you would like to take part in this important rendezvous, please contact me, as Ace Cafe would like to have an idea of numbers. All Centres are welcome. With the long nights at that time of year and all those classic British sports cars, it will be an evening to remember. There are quite a few Marcos sport cars booked up already. I hope you can make it. Monster raving loony party representatives joined us there last year. We had the pleasure of meeting Howling Laud Hope the successor of the late Screaming Lord Sutch. In fact last year we were at the commemoration of ten years since the passing of Screaming Lord Sutch. If they are there again, with a general election in the offering around that time, it could be interesting.

We are in the process of pulling together all of our much loved regular events this year, Roger Prior is currently looking into our potential return to the Chiltern Open Air Museum, and hopefully the Stanlake Park Vineyard. Roger is looking for a date for Beale Park Thames Boat Show as well as for the visit to the wonderful Snowdrop Woods in Welford Park. Also, next March we have been invited to exhibit at the Royal Windsor Racecourse at a major three day show. Jaguar Enthusiasts Club, The Aston Martin Owner's Club, Lamborghini Car Club and the Maserati club will be joining us. Please watch this space. It should be good. These are all wonderful events; I hope you will be able to join us. All centres are welcome.

With the start of the New Year we shall be looking for a new regalia officer - so if you are interested in the role please contact me. It's the sort of job that needs a methodical and comprehensive approach. I look forward to hearing from you. It will be fun working with you. I would like to thank Jane Davies for all her hard work over the years. Don't forget to send us a postcard from whatever sun kissed beach you are on Jane, please.

Please note that at the time of writing the Phoenix pub was closed (late November) so there is uncertainty about the New Year Classic car show that is normally held there. However, the classic car meet will be on at the Poacher as normal - although without the Phoenix it could be larger - please contact Andy Low for the latest information nearer the time - many thanks.

To see the start of the next one hundred years of the Morgan Sports car on New Year's Day we are going to do the spectacular walk we did last New Year's Day. For those coming along to the noggin, please contact Gerry Burkitt, to book your place for lunch - we can reserve tables up until 13:00. Please note this is changed from the walk originally advertised see our events page for details.
