Sat, 19. January 2019, 19.30 h - 22.30 h Dinner
Saturday 19th January 2019 - 7.30 for 8.00pm

Following the resounding success of our New Years Dinner this year, the Committee are delighted to invite you to the major event of our Centre's calendar.

The dinner will again take place in the Golf Club at Castle Royle Country Club on the A4 at Knowl Hill.

After the meal we will have the presentation of the ThamesMOG Trophies, and a talk by our Guest Speaker. Dennis Woods.
--------------------

Antarctic Reflections

Dennis Woods has been to both the North and South Poles. His talk Antarctic Reflections is accompanied by a slide presentation and short video clips which cover his journey, preparations, training along with some background on early exploration.

Dennis was a member of the Airborne Forces in the 1970’s serving in 562 Para Sqn. RCT (V) and at the same time building his own oil distribution company.

His taste for adventure has never waned and so after he sold his business he joined a group trekking to The North Pole in 2008.  The 100th anniversary of Scott and Amundsen’s race to The South Pole triggered his adventure in 2011 – 2012 in Antarctica.

His talk is lively, sometimes humorous but above all Dennis tries to describe what it is like to spend weeks in sub-zero temperatures in the world’s most inhospitable climate when your top priority 24/7 is survival.

Sat, 26. January 2019, 09.00 h - 16.00 h

As many of you are aware Richard Thorne Classic Cars are moving their showroom and workshops to the other end of the site at Grazeley Green.

They will be at the same site - just at the northern end now - follow the signs past the old showroom and they are just here!!!

As they will be moving over the festive period, they have decided that instead of a Christmas Party, they are having a Grand Re-Opening of the showroom in the New Year instead.

RTCC would like to invite ThamesMOG to join them on Saturday 26th January 2019 for breakfast, at 9am , followed by the Grand Re-Opening at 10am. The showroom will then be open all day with refreshments served throughout.
