A good time was had by all at this year's dinner.   An excellent address by Air Commodore Andy Hall about the activities and strengths of the RAF regiment. This was followed by the presentation of trophies to nominated individuals.These pictures were taken on the evening....

The Richard Thorne Charity Trophy

Dear Members It was with some surprise that I read today that I have been awarded the 'Richard Thorne Charity Trophy' by the TV Center for 2012. I thought that I had only won a Mug from winning the Royal Caribbean Teddy's in a Morgan competition featured in one of Roger Bluff's newsletters. It is very kind of the committee to consider me for this award, which I assume is for my Solo Around Britain Trip where I was fund raising for Help for Heroes, (where the final total donated was £6881.02, plus a potential £929.41 available to Help...

Ivor The Engine

Who would think that Ivor the Engine would have anything to do with Morgans.  I don't believe he was built in Swindon while HFS was working as a draftsman, but then again you never know.  Imagine then my surprise at what I found in a book I picked up at a church fete some years ago....

Saturday was the occasion of the ThamesMog Christmas dinner at the Poacher's Arms in South Warnborough.This is an event of international import and imense glamour; outshone possibly by the Oscar Ceremony, the Nobel prize giving in Oslo or the nativity play at South Warborough Infants School.Such was the excitement and anticipation that half of the local police force was stationed outside the previously secret venue disguised as a flower pot and most participants chose to arrive incognito, leaving their Morgans at home, lest they be identified and asked to give evidence later.The celebration went well; the victuals...
