Description
A country retreat on a grand scale, Cliveden’s magnificent gardens and breath-taking views have been admired for centuries.
Cliveden was once the glittering hub of society; visited by virtually every British Monarch since George I and home to Waldorf and Nancy Astor in the early 20th century. Cliveden was renowned for hosting exclusive parties and political gatherings, and later became infamously associated with the Profumo Affair.
Today, the whole family can relax whilst exploring the stunning gardens, peaceful woodlands and Thames riverbank.
The house is now a private hotel and timed ticket guided tours of part of the interior are available on Thursday and Sunday afternoons between April and October.
