I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and that the New Year will be a very happy one for us all. We have a very eventful year planned. We shall be repeating our Gymkhana at the National Society for Epilepsy and we will be working with the Sporting Bears to run a spectacular Morgan event at Brooklands. These two events are detailed below.

Sandra Stuart and David Smith will be repeating their fun day out for all the family with all the proceeds going to the National Society for Epilepsy. As many of you will know this donation is very close to the heart of the Centre. It was wonderful to see Corrine Rowe and her daughter competing at last year's event. Morgans at Brooklands
Saturday 16th August 2003
In support of the "Sporting Bears Dream Rides" day at Brooklands on 16th August 2003, the Thames Valley Centre is to co-ordinate a unique day for all Morgan owners. A special Morgan display area and additional attractions will be provided for the public, and interest from members from all Centres is invited. Examples of vehicles of historic interest to the development of the Morgan Marque, especially three wheelers, early four wheelers, race cars, and the latest Aero 8 will be particularly welcome. The 'Sporting Bears Dream rides' offer members of the public the opportunity for a ride in the car of their dreams on a special Brooklands Circuit, in exchange for a charitable donation),
Subject to the amount of interest shown, Morgan owners will also be able to participate in the "Dream Rides" day by offering members of the public the chance of a non competitive ride up Test Hill, along the Historic Banking, and down The Finishing Straight in their Morgan. These roads will be specially opened on the day for the Morgan Dream Rides only, and are not normally available to the public.

This month we have the first of our monthly walks exploring our lovely countryside.
Goring-on-Thames
The John Barleycorn
Sunday 26th January 2003
Our first walk for 2003 will start at the John Barleycorn Inn Goring-on-Thames. The walk includes a one and a half mile stretch along the Thames riverside as well as a section through the Great Chalk Wood. The length of the walk will be four and a half miles.
We shall meet at the Inn at 10:30 am and we will be back in time for lunch. The John Barleycorn Inn does special lunches on Sunday along with a selection of real ales.
The Inn is located at the junction between Manor road and Station Road. There is public car park close by and there is limited parking along Manor Road. We shall be there early so I don't think parking will be a problem. I hope to see you there.
Incidentally don't forget New Year's Day at the Phoenix Inn and all those classic cars arriving around lunchtime, an event not to miss.
