If you are reading this Centre report then I am very pleased, because at least it probably means that the predictions from the Maya Calendar did not come to pass and the world hasn’t come to an end. This is good news because we have a busy 2013 ahead of us. Long weekends to Torquay and Corfe Castle are just two of the highlights.

We also have a welcome return to the National Trust property Hinton Ampner, on the day of our visit they will be holding a special celebration to mark fathers’ day. We will have our Morgan Sports Cars on display for all those visiting fathers. It should be a great day out. This trip is already being advertised through the National Trust. There are some beautiful photographs to be enjoyed in the Thames Valley Morgan Sports Car Club 2013 calendar. I would like to thank everyone that submitted their photos. It was a very hard job for Ann Miller to decide which to use, it is a shame there are not more months in the year. This year the calendar in places has an international flavour. While on the subject of regalia, Ann has just produced some Thames Valley mugs – one version has our fortieth anniversary picture taken outside the Bird In Hand. Please contact Ann if you would like a mug. I hope to catch up with Frank Lomax soon as I owe him a mug as he won one of our competitions last year – well done Frank.

On a financial note and on behalf of our treasurer, I would like to thank everyone in the Centre that made a voluntary donation to the club during last year. Your contributions do help with the running costs of our Centre and we are very pleased to receive them indeed.

Meanwhile, please don’t forget there is the perennial New Year’s classic car meet up which is well worth a visit at the Phoenix near Hartley Wintney. As Steve Bridge has reported there are some interesting vehicles to see there over and above the veterans. I hope to see you there with your camera.

Also, Roger Prior is busy compiling our event list for 2013 which we hope to circulate soon and on a fairly regular basis as we receive updates. The minutes of our last events meeting held last October has been circulated, with the various ideas for outings, etc. being put into place: if you have any further ideas for things to do please do make contact with Roger Prior in the first instance, Email: This email address is being protected from spambots. As examples, we have a ten pin bowling match planned with the Marcos Club, suggested by Steve Pullen who is quite good at it, and as well as a visit with them to the Ace Cafe in May, we also may do a little flying with them one fine day in the summer. A little bit of gliding, I believe. We also have Arthur Mason in the Centre who is quite keen on flying his own light aircraft and I hope we will be able to meet up with him this year as well. It looks like 2013 is shaping up quite nicely.
