I have some more good news from Terry and Teresa Tedman! Their son Paul has just been awarded the Queens Commendation for Valuable Service in the latest Afghanistan honours and awards list. He was the only member of the Army Air Corps to get an award. This is his second one or (bar in military terminology). He received the first one for Iraq. Prince Charles also sent his personal congratulations by letter. Terry and Teresa are very proud of their son and rightly so. In this transitory year in Afghanistan, it is certainly a time for reflection on the sacrifices that have been made by our service personnel for the people there to be able to vote in democratic elections. As you can imagine, people here that don’t use their opportunity to vote don’t have my understanding. Well done to Paul and his colleagues for all they have done and achieved. I think a donation to Help for Heroes in recognition of his success won’t go a miss.

At our recent Events Planning meeting Tim Jones proposed a trip to Mapledurham. We now have an outline plan from Tim on the event page here

Tim is looking to finalise details and costs for this proposed event. In the meantime he would like to gauge the level of interest for this event. It would be nice to fill the boat/tour with Morgan club members, although this is not necessary for this trip to be viable. If you would like to express your interest please contact Tim on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. , Tim is looking to ask for confirmation of attendance six months before the event with a payment for each ticket in full. I think you will agree this outing looks exciting while being good value. Bookings will be taken soon. I hope you will join us.
