The first Thursday noggin in November saw a reasonable turn out considering the imminent threat of rain and the cold! Our new line in Christmas cards sold well with the millennium just round the corner. I visited the SexMog Sunday noggin in October and successfully recruited Dennis Pike from Burgress Hill to the Centre. Welcome Dennis and I hope you can make it to one of our noggins soon.
At our Sunday noggin in October we welcomed Stuart and Barbara Ross to the Centre. Stuart and Barbara live in Long Valley, N.J. USA. We had a marvellous turn out of 15 Morgans. We would have had two more if it hadn't had been for some reliability problems. The weather was wonderfully sunny. Stuart and Barbara enjoyed the spectacle of the Morgans of various types and ages. Stuart used to be the editor of the Morganeer, the magazine of the Morgan 3/4 club of the USA. I am very pleased to be able to announce that Stuart has volunteered to become our USA correspondent. The Thames Valley now truly stretches out to the eastern seaboard of the USA. I would like to thank everyone for making such a good turn out for our US visitors. We also welcomed William Lamb III from NJ a good friend of Stuart's and Barbara's. William has been a good friend to the Centre over the years and I am now pleased that he has joined us by becoming a subscriber to our newsletter. William, Stuart and Barbara plan to come over to MOG 2000 next year. I look forward to seeing you all then.
Also at the Sunday noggin we welcomed Brian and Alan Heley in a nearly new +8 and Peter and Joan Staples. I hope you can all join us again soon. I would like to thank Keith Warren for bringing Stuart and Barbara to the noggin. Keith is a non-Morgan owning (only a matter of time) friend of Stuart's and Barbara's. I normally identify during the year the greatest distanced travel by someone to be at one of our noggins. Last year Chas Wasser from Cincinnati, Ohio Mog, USA, won this accolade. Well this year the winners will be Stuart and Barbara - congratulations. I like to think that Thames Valley Centre is truly international!
In the latest edition of the Thames Valley Centre Newsletter (TVCN) we have a report back from Chris Rowe on his trip to Paris to see the total eclipse of the sun. As it turned out Paris was one of the best places on the line of totality to see the eclipse. Also this month John Sherwood reviews the wonderful Windermere weekend, while Ray Styles continues his 4/4 rebuild with a spot of painting!

Our third Thursday evening noggin for December will be at the Phoenix at Hartley Witney. The pub is on the A30 next to a petrol station on your left if travelling west. The Phoenix is a traditional meeting place for car clubs. I believe it is only right that Morgans should be represented - please come along. The first Thursday evening noggin at the Bird In Hand will continue as normal.
