At the Bird in Hand in September we spent most of the evening planning our then eminent trip to the Brighton Speed Trials. Crispin Elt was glad to be there since he had managed to escape the decorating. The Uncle Tom's Cabin was reasonably well attended. At this noggin we launched two new regalia items. Geoff Giles had with him the first batch of Thames Valley baseball caps. They have the Thames Valley logo and can be bought in several styles. The caps are available in different colours. The first batch is selling very quickly so please contact Geoff as soon as possible if you want one from the first batch. The other piece of regalia now available is a set of greeting cards that can be used for Christmas, Birthdays, etc. The Morgan card depicts a famous Morgan travelling up an equally famous hill climb on the Isle of Man. The other cards include an MGB, a Mini and a Healey Sprite. Of course all these items and our other regalia stock are available for Christmas!
During our Sunday noggin at the Queen's Oak we had a quiet time suffering frequent blustery showers. Nevertheless four brave Morgans made it to Finchampstead. At the noggin we welcomed Ross Herbert from Staines to the Centre, in his newly acquired T16 +4-4 seater. At the Brighton Speed Trials we also recruited Kevin and Zoe Cheale from Cheltenham. Kevin and Zoe own a '95 plus eight, you are both very welcome, I hope you can make it to a noggin or one our events soon.

We also have some candid camera shots of the spoof wedding of the year! Ray Styles continues his series on rebuilding his 4/4 concentrating on some woodworking. We also have a report back from John Sherwood on his trip to Windermere and the recent Morgan do there. Following some feedback with respect to our experimental third Thursday evening noggin at Uncle Tom's Cabin, I have decided to move this noggin to a pub nearer the southern end of our region. People felt that Uncle Tom's cabin was too far to travel during the winter months. I also felt it would be fairer not to have two evening noggins in the Maidenhead area. Hence this month we shall be going to the Who'd Thou't it, a Morland pub near Finchampstead. To reach the pub please travel out of Wokingham towards Sandhurst until you reach the Nine Mile Ride. At this point turn left going over a railway bridge and the pub will be on your left on the Nine Mile Ride. The pub has a good sized car park and I believe the beer and food is good. The first Thursday noggin at the Bird In Hand will continue as normal. Hopefully I will see you there.
