We also have a belated report back from the classic members' weekend at Prescott and a review of our day out at Silverstone for the BDC meeting. During the first Thursday noggin we welcomed Andrew Palmer to the Centre in his royal ivory 4/4 - a very popular colour. Also during August we welcomed Monique and Ton van Lier and Susan and Peter Scott. I hope you can all join us at a noggin soon. At our Sunday noggin in August Sally and Tony Chapman made a welcome visit to the Centre. I hope you enjoyed yourselves and that you will come back again soon!
On 29th August Gerard Sykes and I made it to Harewood Hill Climb (Yorkshire) for a round of the Northern Speed Championship. Gerard did exceedingly well winning the Morgan class in his TR engined Plus 4. Thanks for winning for Thames Valley, Gerard. We should have gone to see the Sir Elton John in concert at Harewood House afterwards to celebrate!
During August I was very fortunate indeed to be able to visit our friends Anne Northfield and Don Fox from OggieMog to see the solar eclipse! In Plymouth we were lucky enough to be able to see a totality. It was a very moving experience and one I shall never forget. I had a full TVCN team in attendance so hopefully I shall be able to report back soon in our newsletter once the photographs have been processed. I would like to thank Anne and Don very much for putting me up for the week - Plymouth was the place to be!
