On the first Thursday evening we welcomed Hartley Jenkinson to the Centre. Hartley has just moved to the area and he currently owns a stunning plus four-four seater. The walk in the Chilterns in October was a great success. At the walk we wlecomed John and Ann Rushton to the Centre. John and Ann came along in a rather nice 4 seater. At our October Sunday Noggin we welcomed three new members to the Centre. Neal Bircher arrived on the look out for a reasonably priced Morgan 4/4. Stephen Clark joined us from round the corner (Nine Mile Ride) in his newly acquired plus eight. Stephen had been fortunate to know someone from the New Forest Centre that was selling an excellent mid 80’s plus eight. There are the best second hand ones to buy! Finally Mike Young came along in his brand new 3.9 plus eight in a rather breathtaking metallic silver. We now have several new cars in the Centre. This is quite a pleasure since in the past a new car was always a rarity. I hope Neal you find a nice car soon. I’m sure if you can make it to some more Noggins you will receive plenty of useful advice.

During the Castle Combe competition event in October, my old friend Tony Hempel and Keith Roper, a good friend from BogMog, were involved in two separate accidents, both seriously damaging their respective Mogs. Thankfully they were both okay, but their Morgans will need a lot of work. I hope the repairs don’t take too long and that you both will be back on the track soon. Castle Combe didn’t, I’m afraid, provide a very happy end to the Competition season.
Please don’t forget this month we shall be going for another walk in the Chilterns, please meet in the car park just west of West Wycombe Village, in Chorley Road, at 10:30 am, back in time for a pub lunch at the Swan Inn.
