I would like to thank everyone who came along to our AGM held last April. We had a great turn out. I would like to thanks all those who sent in their absentee and proxy votes forms. The amendments to our revised Centre Constitution were ratified, as were the minutes from our EGM held last November. The outgoing Committee were pleased that there was a great level of interest for the significant work they had completed in taking the Centre Constitution forward. I believe this newly ratified Constitution will provide a firm foundation for the future activities of the Centre. On behalf of the Centre I would like to thank the team for all their hard work. In particular, I would like to thank David Cleveland for his leadership and work in this area ably assisted by Tim Jones and Mike Aldrich.
For the incoming Committee the AGM appointed me as Centre Secretary, Mike Aldrich as Treasurer, James Bellew as Membership Secretary, Steve Bridge as Communications officer, and Terry Tedman as Regalia Officer, David Vodden as webmaster, with David Cleveland and Tim Jones as Committee members. I wish the new Centre Committee well as they take as forward into another busy year with Thames Valley.
At the AGM Andy Doughty stood down from his role as Membership Secretary and as a member of the Committee. On behalf of the Centre, I would like to thank Andy for his interest and support to the Committee over the years. I wish you well Andy for your future involvement in the MSCC.
During the AGM, several legacy regalia items from the fortieth anniversary of the Centre were sold. These will now be worn amongst the famous Moscow chic. I must congratulate James and Terry during this handover of roles, all this and on the first day on the job so to speak.
Please note that the date for the RAF Benson Families' Day is Monday 20th July, NOT 23rd as previously published. The deadline for registering for this event is Sunday 7th June. If you'd like to be there with your Morgan, along with about 20 other Morgans and many, many other classic & vintage cars plus, of course the aircraft both on the ground and in the air, please contact {contact}Dave Cleveland{/contact} I would like to thank Dave once again for coordinating this marvellous event. I hope the change will not inconvenience anyone.
Our Hog Roast will still be held on the July 23rd, Mike Aldrich is organising this event for Thursday evening at the Bird In Hand. Please contact Mike Aldrich if you would like to come along.

For the southern part of our region, we have made some changes to take advantage of a regular Classic Car meeting held at White Lion Antiques Centre near Hartley Wintney. We will be joining them on the second Sunday in the month for a breakfast meeting. This replaces our first Sunday in the month noggin. On behalf of the Centre, I would like to thank Ted Kannemeyer for his stewardship of the first Sunday noggin over the years. For the Classic Car as it is an external event there will be no specific steward but we recommend getting there early as you can as it is a popular event. There are a wide range of Classic Cars to see. Mike Hughes will be taking us to this event on the fourth Sunday in September as a special introduction to this well-liked meeting.
On June 28th we shall be going to Mottisfont when we hope that in the walled gardens, the National Collection of old-fashioned roses will at its best. Please meet at 11.00 in the car park. Mottisfont is near Romsey (Hants) SO51 0LP.
So we shall soon be in the middle of summer. It is frightening how fast the year shoots by. I hope you will have plenty of opportunities to enjoy your Morgan sports car in fine weather.
