At the time of writing I was looking forward to our Fawley Hill Museum visit. Terry Tedman has been able to get us back to the Museum earlier than we had expected, which is great. By the time you read this, I will have had another ride on the wonderful carrousel and numerous goes on the train, and of course, I will have seen Tim Janes working hard as one of the volunteers at the museum without whom there would be no event.
The summer has been and gone, and as ever, it seems to go really quickly. So I would argue that we didn’t have a summer. We could, however, have an Indian Summer, and if we do, we have some super events for you to enjoy. First off we have Tim Jones’ Thames Tour number three as described below:
The Thames Tour 3 – Teddington to Marlow, 4th September 2016.
"Tim's Thames Tours" is now taking bookings for the last of this year's events on Sunday 4th September.
This time, we will be travelling upstream after meeting at Teddington, where the Thames becomes tidal, and travelling back to Marlow via Shepperton, and Staines then on to the lovely Runnymede before reaching Windsor. Then it’s on via Maidenhead to Cliveden and Cookham before Bourne End and Winter Hill lead us into Marlow.
Some historic places and great scenery with lots to see with the usual variety of attractions and stopping spots carefully sought out for you in advance.
At £5 per car this promises to be another great value day in our lovely back yard.
Please register your interest with Tim Jones. Email:
West Green House inaugural Classic Car Show - Sunday 25th September.
You may recall that we visited West Green House earlier this year, and when we were there the club was invited to attend the West Green House’s inaugural Classic Car Show. We now have the details, and I have registered the Thames Valley Morgan Centre as a club that will be attending.
West Green House has spectacular gardens, and an interesting and violent history, see their website for details.
If you’re interested in coming, please use the form on the West Green House website to register - not forgetting to say you are Thames Valley Centre members.

Thames Valley Centre car badges available on eBay - beware
A Morgan owner from Australia has brought to our attention that Thames Valley Car badges are for sale on eBay. They appear to be our badges but we would like to point out that these sales are nothing to do with us. They are very highly priced and please remember we can supply Thames Valley car badges new at the nominal club price. If you see, therefore, any regalia out there and are interested please check with us first. I would like to thank our Austrian customer for letting us know about these items.
Thames Valley Centre pin badges
We are now taking orders for our new range of Thames Valley pin badges. These are available in five colour, similar to our car badges. Any order is taken on a first come first served basis, as always. Please contact David Mansfield as our new Regalia Officer for orders for pin badges and also our car badges. Orders can be made on his telephone (0118 37 69752) or via email at
