I am pleased to announce that we will be holding our AGM on May 5th at The Bell and Bottle during our normal Noggin evening. Please note: This meeting starts at 7:30pm and it is Tuesday NOT Thursday. Calling notices will be going out soon. This year we are collecting together photographs of our past events to put together a show. Annual Centre Awards for 2019


As a Centre we are proud of our trophy awards as they characterise the spirit and ethos of our group. We encourage our members to engage as in essence, through these awards, we aim to facility the use and enjoyment of our beloved steeds. Likeminded people make for some great camaraderie.

For 2019, we now seeking nominations for award trophies, which will be awarded at our AGM in May. As a reminder the following overviews the awards that require your nominations:

The Richard Thorne Charity Trophy - awarded for a member’s contribution to raising money for charity associated with the use of their Morgan – your nominations are requested.

The SGT Trophy - awarded to the member who has exhibited the best traditions of Morgan ownership and its furtherance in true club spirit – your nominations are requested.

FH Douglas Trophy - How many miles did you drive in your Morgan(s) last year? I know some of you have enjoyed long journeys through Europe in 2019, why not enter for this year's F. H. Douglass Trophy, it's just a bit of fun.

Join us for our regular monthly visits to National Garden Scheme (NGS) gardens and National Trust properties. This month we will be going to Long Crendon Gardens, HP18 9AN, on Sunday 26th April where we will visit five gardens for the price of one. Note start time 14:00.

On Wednesday 13th May, ThamesMOG has arranged for Lunch on The Watercress Line. Assembling at Ropley railway station we travel the full length of the Watercress Line whilst enjoying lunch before to Ropley, This is followed by a guided tour of the railway's engineering works. There's plenty of on-site parking at Ropley so no worries on that score. The 2020 Pangbourne Classic Car Show will be taking place on Saturday 30th May between 10:00 and 16:00. ThamesMOG has been attending this show every year it has been held, and our Morgans provide the largest number of cars of any make. Entries for the 2020 show will close on Friday 8 May.

On Thursday 25th June, ThamesMOG join with LogMOg and SogMOG for a visit to Jane Austin's house, and her brother house Chawton House. Join us on Thursday 9th July for a two and a half hour round trip along the River Kennet from Hungerford, in The Rose of Hungerford, a traditional wide-beam narrowboat. The trip gives you the chance to enjoy a slow and relaxing view of the canal, and all it has to offer, with bridges, locks, wildlife, and spectacular scenery. Chris Nickless as part of our Fiftieth Anniversary is taken us on a wonderful trip to Mid Wales. Thank you very much Chris! We are planning a four night trip to Llanerchindda Farm in Mid Wales, on 14th – 18th September. The trip includes two full days of scenic runs through the stunning countryside of this part of Wales. The rate for this is £331.00 per person for 4 nights, Dinner Bed and Breakfast, with the classic car tours.
