ThamesMOG has continued to enjoy a very busy year of events with, in October, our visit to the ‘Greatmoor Energy from Waste Plant’. This was so popular that it was sold out months in advance. On behalf of our Centre members I would like to thank ThamesMOG member Chris Beck for arranging a bumper-bundle of interesting and varied events throughout 2024.

Our next event is on Sunday 3rd November when we join with HopMOG and SexMOG for our annual visit to view the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run at The Jack & Jill pub in Clayton.

I have always thought of the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run as the end to our Morgan year, but this year we have a December event. Join us on Friday December 7th for the Caterham Factory Visit. For over 50 years their factory tours have only been available to a select few, but now it's our turn. Operated from their brand-new factory, doors are officially open to visitors for the first time. Expert tour guides will take us on the build journey that every Seven goes through, right from the bare chassis through to the final fit and finish.

In addition to these events, ThamesMOG will again be holding a Christmas Lunch at the Harte and Magpies on Saturday 14th December. We really hope you can join us! This event is becoming a beloved ThamesMOG tradition, filled with fun and a perfect excuse to gather together. No Christmas celebration would be complete without crackers with terrible jokes, and plenty of merriment. At Chris Nickless’ request, it’s also the perfect time to don your festive jumpers! If you’d like to join the festivities, please email Richard at This email address is being protected from spambots. Our monthly Noggins at the Bird in Hand on the first Thursday of the month, and Sunday lunch at the Harte and Magpies on the third Sunday of the month continue to prove popular. ThamesMOG Noggins continue throughout the year, so why not pop along to one of these, even if you’re not in your Morgan.

Full details of all our events can be found on our events page https://www.thamesmog.co.uk/events

I hope you have been able to enjoy some of our outings.
