I am pleased to say that on Saturday 8th August we shall be enjoying a scenic drive to the Bentley Drivers Club 60th Anniversary Race Event at Silverstone. Please meet 08:30 at The Bird In Hand, Knowl Hill (A4 near Maidenhead) for a 08:45 start. We will aim to arrive in time to watch the end of practice and see the parade laps of the Bentleys on the circuit before the racing starts. Also, don't forget this month we shall be going to the Dunsfold Air show with Roger and Adrienne Prior. This is another great day out for all the family.
I am pleased the news is out from last June. Helen and I weren't very good at all that cloak and dagger stuff, but we didn't do too bady I guess. The second part is yet to come.
In September we have the Brighton Speed Trials weekend. We hope to organise a full weekend of activities in conjunction with the Brighton Centre. At least three Morgans from our area hope to be running this year, along with the other Morgans that normally attend. I am going to try and get the Morgans together in the paddock, as it's our Centenary. It would mean we could return to the paddock in squadron formation, in front of what is normally a capacity Brighton crowd. I shall be out in my new steed. Please watch this space for further news. Our next Centenary walk in Surrey this year will be in September, after all the summer Centenary celebrations and takes us to the Plough Inn in Dormansland. I hope to see you at the pub car park at 10:30am, hopefully with fine weather, with your walking boots on.
