It was with great sadness that I learnt of the passing of Andy Biddlecombe. He was a good friend to many of the long standing members of the Centre. There is feeling, I believe, that an era is now coming to an end. Andy and Quentin for me bring back many happy memories. On behalf of the Centre, I would like to send our sincere condolences to Andy’s family and friends, at this sad time. He will be gravely missed. To live in the hearts of those we love is never to die

With this in mind, the ThamesMOG Management Committee will review our cancellations and postponement of noggins and events day to day. With this in mind, I am pleased to announce that we will be holding our AGM on September 24th as a virtual event using Zoom. Calling notices will be going out soon
Once again, I was very pleased Christopher Nickless’ trip to Wales now beckons, and that the Harte and Magpie noggin are able to be held. All this makes us feel we are gradually getting back to normal. Well done Christopher on organising these important events and keeping the light at the end of tunnel lit.
Also, in September there is the West Green Classic Car Show on Sunday 20th. ThamesMOG has applied for club entry, this provides free entry for your Morgan, driver and one passenger. Let’s hope the weather gods will not be upset this year. West Green will be serving an all-day breakfast and welcome you into their autumn garden to have Teas or Lunch in the Tea Room. But then you may prefer to bring a picnic and listen to the Swing music played where the cars are on display. There is an Award for both the best and most popular car in the show. Don’t forget, our fiftieth anniversary badge is selling well. David Mansfield is taking orders, worldwide, on a strictly first come first served basis. One numbered badge has been made for each year of us being a Centre. I recommend being quick with your order. When they are gone they are gone. I’m pleased I got mine.
