As 2021 unfolds, our ThamesMog newsletters have still been full of good cheer. Judging by the sad news coming through almost daily, I fear that it will be sometime before we can be out and about, and meeting up at our various or noggins: although, we are keeping going with our monthly virtual Log-In Noggins.
Our Committee recently hosted Colin Thornton the Chairman of the Morgan Sports Car Club. On behalf of the Committee, I would like to thank Colin for joining us – it was a pleasure to meet you. We made good contact, and notes from the meeting will be available in a future newsletter.
It came as no surprise that The Phoenix Classic Car meetup on New Year’s was cancelled. Let’s hope January 1st 2022 we will be out there. Watch this space.
Our first ‘Log-In Noggin’ of the year was another enjoyable evening, and I would like to again thank everyone who joined in. Many thanks to David Williams for facilitating this Zoom. With the weather outside filled with swirling freezing mist, we were thankful once again we were at a virtual noggin. Perhaps, this could be a winter norm until the spring in more normal times.
We plan to continue with this approach of using Zoom for our Noggins in the next few months. Our next Log-In Noggin is on Thursday 4th February. Let’s hope, nevertheless, that in the near future we can meet in person.
The lockdown rules are changing continually, and at the time of writing, due to the seriousness of the situation, will most likely become more restrictive. The ThamesMog Management Committee will review our noggins and events day-to-day. Please continue to check for the latest status on our events and meetings in the latest ThamesMog’s newsletter, and our website. www.thamesmog.co.uk
Meanwhile, I hope you will all take care, along with your family and friends, and that you will all stay well.
Best wishes to all, Roger.
Thames Valley Centre 50Th Anniversary badge
Our fiftieth anniversary badge is selling well. David Mansfield is taking orders, worldwide, on a strictly first come first served basis.
One numbered badge has been made for each year of us being a Centre. I recommend being quick with your order. When they are gone they are gone. I’m pleased I got mine.
