With our more global outlook these days, our fiftieth car badge has been selling all over the world. I would recommend that you get one fast from Dave Mansfield if you want one, because when they are gone they are gone. It is a fantastic badge from a great design team. Something we are all proud of indeed. Well done to Dave and his colleagues.
The ThamesMOG newsletters continue to keep us informed, amused and engaged with stretching quizzes. We have taken to providing profiles of our committee members, and this has meant we have all had to dig deep to find our creative writing skills when writing our own. It would also be nice to have some ThamesMOG member’s profiles. Friendships have been made when readers discover how much they have in common with other members. Of course, the common thread is our love of Morgan Sports Cars. Please keep your profiles coming into our news desk.
At the start of February, we had another enjoyable ‘Log-In Noggin’ via the internet. Many thanks to David Williams for facilitating this Zoom once again. I was intrigued to see that a lawyer had used a filter in Zoom. He looked like a cat, apparently. At one point he said, ‘I’m not a cat!’ It went viral and made me laugh out loud. We need a good chuckle these days, I think. When will someone use a Morgan filter? I wonder.
We plan to continue with this approach of using Zoom for our Noggins for the next few months. Our next Log-In Noggin is on Thursday 4th March. Let’s hope, nevertheless, that in the near future we can meet in person.
The lockdown rules are changing continually, and at the time of writing, due to the seriousness of the situation, are not likely change anytime soon.
