It was great to see Philip Male at our Log-in Noggin in early March. Philip has been based in Southwest France since the early ‘90s. You were most welcome Philip at our Log-in Noggin. He has always been a member of ThamesMOG, but it was great to have him register on our website. With the glorious microclimate in parts of the Aquitaine area, mild winters, pleasantly warm summers, it would be nice to have a ThamesMOG outpost there. Philip plans to visit us at the Pangbourne College Classic car show while he is returning to the UK to collect his Plus 8 that is nearing its rebuild. We will look forward to seeing you.
We plan to continue with this approach of using Zoom for our Noggins for the next few months. Our next Log-In Noggin is on Thursday 1st April (and that’s no joke). Let’s hope, nevertheless, that in the near future we can meet in person.
The ThamesMOG Management Committee is pleased to announce that we will be holding our AGM via Zoom on Thursday May 6th. We look forward to seeing you on screen. Details on the arrangements for the AGM and supporting paperwork will be circulated soon via our Newsletter.

We hope to be able to start our face-to-face Noggins in April with Sunday Lunch at the Harte and Magpies pub, which is halfway between Amersham and Beaconsfield on the A355, and has plenty of parking. The pub has a very large garden and outside seating area. To comply with the latest government guide lines, social distancing rules will be enforced, so that although there will be a group of ThamesMOG members, members must compile with the regulations, and remain in their family or social bubble. ThamesMOG hope that by June the current COVID restrictions will have been relaxed enough for us to attend The Pangbourne College Classic Car Show. ThamesMOG have attended every year, since they commenced in 2016, except last year when the event was cancelled due to COVID. It has always been a grand day out with hundreds of classic cars on display. In previous years the Morgans area has been one of the largest.
The lockdown rules are changing continually, and at the time of writing, due to the seriousness of the situation, are not likely change anytime soon. The ThamesMOG Management Committee will review our noggins and events day-to-day.
