As this is the December edition of Miscellany, I would like to thank everyone who has organised a ThamesMOG event this year, and everyone who has supported them through their attendance. Being able to meet-up with friends makes these things worthwhile.
With 2021 coming to an end there is hope of a more normal life ahead. We have postponed some of our events this year but we now hope to reschedule them for 2022. For example in 2021, Tim arranged some Dealer Days. I would like to thank Tim for all his hard work in planning these which had to be postponed at the last minute due to protesters blocking the M25, and an acute shortage of fuel nationwide, the odds were truly stacked against us. Without tempting providence, I hope we will be more fortunate next year. Thank you again Tim.
We have a visit to Wales in September 2022 with Christopher Nickless to look forward, as we relive the trip he arranged in 2020 as one of ThamesMOG’s 50th anniversary events. It was such an enjoyable event in bright sunshine, great company, in a beautiful setting. We looked forward to our return.
Don’t forget, we have our Sunday Lunchtime Noggin on 19th December, which Chris tells me ‘could’ have a Christmas theme to it, as well as an impromptu gathering of cars and car folk at The Phoenix, Hartley Wintney on New Year’s Day.
The lockdown rules are changing continually, and at the time of writing they seem to becoming more restrictive again. The ThamesMOG Management Committee will review our noggins and events day to day.
