Did the Phoenix Classic Car meeting on January 1st blow away your cobwebs? It certainly was a fine day for it, with plenty of cars on display. Hopefully, things will start to get back to normal as the year progresses as we look forward to better weather. At the time of writing it was unpleasantly wet outside, although warm for the time of year.
Our noggins have continued successfully. Christopher Nickless and his son are working on their YouTube channel capturing expertly their enjoyable noggins at the Harte and Magpie. Please subscribe to their channel. They will soon become influencers – TikTok next perhaps?
Understandably due to the pandemic, we have yet to firm up the dates for many of our outing. Let’s hope that by the time I write the centre report for March the outlook has improved and it has been possible arrange some Spring events. However, we do have two events firmly in our calendar.
We have a visit to Wales in September 2022 with Christopher Nickless to look forward for our return visit; we relive the trip he arranged in 2020 as one of ThamesMOG’s 50th anniversary events.
As mentioned last month, we have the Pangbourne Classic Car Show on Saturday 4th June. The event started in 2016 and has grown in popularity and now has around 250 vintage, classic and modern classic vehicles displayed each year. ThamesMOG are proud to have attended every year. Details on how to register for this event are detailed below.
The lockdown rules are changing continually, and at the time of writing they seem to becoming more restrictive again. The ThamesMOG Management Committee will review our noggins and events day to day.
