At the time of writing we were about to attend two sensational RAF air shows: RAF Benson; and RAF Odiham. I do hope the weather was dry and sunny for these events. When you think, anyone travelling mainland Europe recently will have probably melted in their Morgan sports cars. We have a very enjoyable day at Fawley Railway museum, early last month. I mastered for the first time how to get on and off those horses on the carousel. They were my mother’s favourite. I remember being taken on them as a child and wanting to get off as it was whirling round. I dismounted the horse and headed for the edge while my father frantically prepared himself for my imminent leap. How he would have caught me, I don’t know. But now I can ride them with joy and happy memories of my childhood. They all flooded back

Summer is in full swing and probably by the time you read this we will have already visited Fawley Railway museum. We are very honoured to be able to go to this fine venue a dream for railway enthusiasts young and older. And this year the Jaguar Car group joined us. Well we have a lot of news this month. Nobody knows what the future will bring. The Buddha’s last words were: ‘All conditioned things are impermanent. Strive on with diligence.’ One of the doctrines of Buddhism is the concept of impermanence, and certainly here at Thames Valley we have proved this point. It is with great sadness that I am reporting the passing of Judy Mitchell in March. Judy and her husband Quentin had been regular supporters of ThamesMOG being members for many years. They had moved to Kent just before Christmas, and in January this year Judy and Quentin had joined us for our New Year Dinner. To quote Quentin, “Judy really enjoyed being a Moganeer”.
