
The delayed annual Classic Car Show at West Green House had a great turn out, with ThamesMOG and some neighbouring centre members attending. It was the fourth time of asking, as it had been postponed on three previous occasions due to poor weather. So it was good to see the Morgans present a fine show on a lovely sunny autumn day, where over 50 classic cars were on display. Everyone had an enjoyable time looking at the classics, wandering through the winter colours in the West Green gardens, and seeing so many children dressed up in Halloween costumes. ThamesMOG joined
At the time of writing we are looking forward to the annual Classic Car Show at West Green House. This has had to be postponed twice in September due to the torrid wet weather. Let’s hope in October it will be 3rd time lucky. We start November by joining other MSSC Centres at the Jolly Tanner in Staplefield to watch the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run. Park your Morgans around Staplefield village green where the Jolly Tanner and The Victory Inn pubs do a great breakfast. If you plan to watch it there it is best to arrive before 11

It was great to come across a well garnished, Morgan three-wheeler in the car park for the recent Headcorn Air show. As I stood admiring the Morgan, overhead there was a dog fight between a Spitfire and a ME109 – the Spit had been scrambled to save the airfield. Exciting stuff – it was good to see a three-wheeler in a most suitable setting. It was confusing, however, as both the aircraft had Rolls Royce Merlin engines with that magical sound.
