I only wish we could incorporate augmented reality in these Centre notes. Tim Jones’s recent Dealer day trip came across the last Aero 8 to be delivered. It had a light golden coloured body, hood and rear valance and alloy wheels with dark British racing green wings. My colour descriptions may not be perfect, but the car looked stunning in the photograph. I understand the owner already has some substantial offers; after all it represents the end of an era. Tim’s trip started in wonderful weather commensurate with our fine long summer. I have come across a weather app, known

At the time of writing I had just returned from a welcome return to Fawley Railway Museum. Lady McAlpine was clearly in attendance waving at the steam train locomotive and its gleeful passengers. Many thanks to Terry Tedman for organising the trip: the feeling is that Lady McAlpine will keep the museum going at least in her lifetime. As always we were honoured to be there. Up to this point we have been sweltering in the heat of this exceptional summer in the northern hemisphere of mother Earth. This week though, the temperature has dropped and rain has returned. I

This month we have a welcome return to Fawley Railway Museum. I am not sure if the future of this facility is in doubt or not, however, if it is this may be our last chance to attend, since the sad passing of Lord McAlpine. Please contact Terry Tedman as soon as you can if you would like to go. We may be able to collect tickets from Terry on the first Thursday noggin in August. I hope you can join us. Later on this month, we are visiting Gilbert White and the Oates collection. This will be a very

I would like to thank everyone that attended our AGM on May 3rd at The Novello during our normal First Thursday Noggin evening for that month. Steve Bridge chaired the meeting for what turned out to be a pleasant night. The circulating slide show of past events brought back some happy memories, not least those of us sitting out in the garden of The Novello last summer. They do have some comfortable seats, those weather proof ones that are more like sofas. There is also a fine view across the countryside that nicely frames all the Morgan Sports cars. Steve

Please remember that we will be holding our AGM on May 3rd at The Novello during our normal First Thursday Noggin evening. Calling notices have gone out. This year we are collecting together photographs of our past events to put together a show. If you have any photos you would like us to include please contact Steve Bridge. We will also have a discussion on future event ideas. There is a busy summer ahead, but we are always on the lookout for new things to do. I look forward to seeing you there. We had a grand turn out of

The old saying, March comes in like a lamb and goes out like a lion seems to be true. Over the years we have had to cancel our February First Thursday Noggin, but this time after several mild winters our March noggin succumbed to the elements. At the time of writing more snow was predicted for the close of March which is contrary, but they could be wrong. I hope you all survived the weather okay, and that we have seen the last of the Beast from the East. I am pleased to announce that we will be holding our
