I don’t believe our founders could have predicted that our fiftieth anniversary noggin would have been held via a computer in a video call. Back then it would have been science fiction. It was an enjoyable evening and I would like to thank everyone who joined in. Many thanks to David Williams for facilitating the Zoom and for Dave Cleveland for the coordination of what ThamesMOG has entitled a ‘Login Noggin’. I remember seeing in one of our ThamesMOG’s newsletters an image from the Back to the Future movie with the Doc saying, ‘Whatever you do, don’t go to the year 2020.’ Now if I had a Morgan Time Machine (of course we could not consider a DeLorean) I would go back to November 1970 to see the first noggin held on the first Thursday at the Bird In Hand. During these difficult times, I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Tony Howard’s wife Avril. Tony works on many Centre member’s cars, and over the years becomes good friends with his clients. He is a great Morgan engineer and Morgan racer. We are thinking about you Tony. It was with great sadness that I learnt of the passing of Andy Biddlecombe. He was a good friend to many of the long standing members of the Centre. There is feeling, I believe, that an era is now coming to an end. Andy and Quentin for me bring back many happy memories. It was with great sadness that I learnt of the passing of Quentin English. He was a good friend of the Centre and he had many friends in the Club. We have many fond memories. We were very much involved with Quentin and HopMOG in MOG 2000. I was working with Quentin in organising the race meeting and sprint at the MOG. I distinctly remember bringing to Quentin’s attention the option of having a live assessment as a club of the race event by the MSA.
