Our recent excursion to France was very enjoyable. On behalf of all those that went, I would like to thank Sandra Stuart and David Smith for their assistance on this wonderful trip. On Sunday July 16th we shall be attending the Uxbridge Charity Auto Show organised by the Rotary Club which this year will primarily aid the Nyumbani Project, a home for orphaned babies and children born HIV positive.  For September we are planning a scenic run with a difference. As many of you will be aware we are producing a car badge to commemorate thirty-five years of us being a MSCC Centre. The theme of the scenic run is to transport badge number one the length of the Thames from the Barrier to the source (this is the badge that is to be auctioned for charity). The scenic run will take place in eleven sections and will be a relay; a different Morgan will transport the badge through each section. We plan to accommodate multiple Morgan's per section

I am very pleased to be able to report that Barbara and David Harris won the Richard Thorne Charity Trophy for 2005 - the first winners in fact. At the Hampden Arms noggin Helen Thorne presented the trophy to Barbara and David along with a replica which they can keep. This trophy will be awarded each year for members in the Centre that have raised the most money for charity during our annual Charity raising event. The winners of the trophy are able to nominate the charity that the Centre will raise money for in the following year. Our charity

Over the Christmas holidays I learnt of the sad death of John Bishop, a good friend of the Centre from Sexmog. Over the years we have attended many of the main MOG events with John and his wife Joan along with several other Sexmog friends. In particular we used to go out on various scenic runs together having a great time. Most memorable for me, was back when we were at MOG 92, when we drove around the Welsh Mountains, it was the year I first got myself a video camera. Gerry Burkitt spent most of his time hanging out

I can hardly contain my excitement, but Jane and Glenn Davies have just finished the design for our thirty-fifth anniversary car badge. It is based on Mike Aldrich's original design concept and makes a fine tribute to Mike's brilliant first car badge for the Thames Valley Centre. If you can imagine the handmade badge now available in material that can be made in larger numbers, you will be some way to knowing what it looks like. It is simply stunning!
