While we take a short intake of breath after our busy summer, I thought I would keep you up to date with some Centre news. As you read this report Estelle and Ian Sollen's daughter will be happily married, the ceremony was held over the August bank holiday weekend. Also, Bert Oslar's son Jason has just become engaged to his long term girlfriend. Naturally Jason you be expelled from the Bachelors' club in due course. Early this month we have the Scenic Run and Barbeque for Marie Curie Cancer Care. Geoff Giles and Helen Thorne have been working very hard on a brilliant run through the Chilterns and Berkshire Downs, so it should be good! Thank you all very much for your kind support. I am very pleased to be able to announce that on the evening of Saturday 23rd July, Pam and Mike Aldrich will be holding our Annual Centre dinner at the Grovefield House Hotel, Burnham. On the Friday night of our New Forest bank holiday weekend, the New Forest Centre has challenged us to an evening of beer and skittles. Whether the emphasis is on beer or skittles I don't know, but I'm sure we should be good at both!
