December 2002

As this is our December Centre report I would like to wish everyone a very happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year. We shall hopefully have a busy Morgan New Year ahead of us. The first of these events is the marvellous Classic car meet at the Phoenix Inn on New Years day.  Around lunchtime the kerb side along the A30 outside the Phoenix is full with a variety of classic cars. An event not to miss if you can get up in time! All are welcome. for additional information. I hope you will enjoy them as you can imagine

November 2002

I am very sad to have to report the tragic news that Bert Oslar's wife Shirley has passed away after a brief illness. Seven Morgans paid their last respects to Shirley at her funeral including Shirley's Royal Ivory Plus four the car she loved so much! Wonderfully Bert and Shirley had over fifty years of knowing each other and being together. They were blessed with five loving children and grand children.  Shirley had been a devoted wife and best friend to Bert over those years and a loving mother to her family. Shirley was also a good friend to many

October 2002

As the autumn approaches we have the London to Brighton veteran car run to look forward to. I believe this year there will be two rival events running causing confusion no doubt. I hope things get back to normal next year! On 19th there is a round of the MSCC Sprint series being held at Castle Combe race circuit. This will be a good value event to attend. Please let me know if you are interested in going, I plan to go and support them. I am now taking bookings for our annual Centre Christmas dinner at the Phoenix pub

September 2002

This month on behalf of the Centre I would like to give many thanks to a number of people and organisations: Firstly I would like to thank David Smith and Sandra Stuart for the tremendous success of the Thames Valley gymkhana held at the National Society for Epilepsy. All proceeds went to the Epilepsy Centre; we had thirty odd Morgans in attendance which was brilliant. It was particular nice to see Corrine Rowe and her daughter compete in Chris's Morgan, I'm sure Chris was watching over the proceedings. I would also like to thank SGT for their fantastic trophy that

August 2002

It gives me great sadness to report that Don Fox our good friend from OggieMog passed away recently.  Don was a very kind and generous person, he would always help you if he could. He was a genuine guy, in fact one of the best. Don had many friends and I am very proud to be able to say I was one of them. At this sad time on behalf of the Centre I would like to pass our sincere condolences to Don's wife Anne and their surrounding family and friends. We have all lost someone very special.
