January 1999

I hope everyone in ThamesMogLand and beyond had a very happy Christmas. On the first Thursday evening in November we welcomed Ray Styles back to the Centre. The last time Ray was at the Bird In Hand it was 1971 - I must have been out! Ray is currently nearing the completion of a ground-up rebuild of a competition 4/4. I look forward to seeing the finished car soon Ray. At our November Sunday Noggin we welcomed Geoff Giles to the Centre - I hope you can join us again soon Geoff. On the first Thursday we had in attendance, as far as my Centre records show, a record twenty Morgans. That evening we also welcomed some new members to the Centre. Strictly speaking Dave Harvey, Pat and Colin Harris are old members from the past. John Morgan dropped in as he was passing because of his interest in Morgans - he has been on the waiting list for a long time. David Knight and Chris Chaffey also joined us both owning rather nice 4/4s. The last new member was Arthur Neal. Arthur owns a Series I that he is still trying

On the first Thursday we welcomed Jerry and Eileen Tanner to the Centre. Jerry is currently waiting patiently for his new Morgan - I hope the wait will not be too long! At the HopMog Petanque competition we also recruited Anna and Simon Marshall to the Centre just in time for them to win the Skittles evening out right! So a warm welcome to Anna and Simon to the Centre and thanks for winning for Thames Valley! Congratulations are also in order for Anna and Simon since they are our fiftieth subscribers to Thames Valley Centre News (TVNC). Only another

August 1998

On the first Thursday we welcomed Peter Veal to the Centre. Peter is the proud owner of a Series II Morgan 4/4 - a very rare car indeed. We also welcomed another new member John Sherwood from the Mini Owners Club! John Gibson also joined us even though he had only really dropped in to see Albert Koo - a dangerous thing to do John. I would like thank Ann and Dave Vodden very much for all their hard work in devising a marvellous Treasure Hunt Challenge. I had the pleasure of handing out the Trophy to the winning team

July 1998

Thames Valley Report (July1998) On the first Thursday we welcomed two new members Robert and Karen Varley in their brand new, just collected from the Factory, Morgan 4/4. James and Mary McLaren also arrived in their brand new baby fresh from the Factory - a red +4 2 seater - congratulations to you both. At our Sunday noggin we welcomed two new members - Elizabeth and Derek Milner from Wokingham. I hope to have a longer chat with
